Since 1997, Prof. Dr. Yavuz Besogul has been performing heart surgeries using minimally invasive techniques in the field of Cardiovascular Surgery. He has conducted numerous subaxillary (underarm) heart surgeries in Turkey, and his operations using these methods were published in national and international scientific congresses and journals in 1999, 2001, 2002, 2003, and 2004, and were well-received in both international and national congresses. After resigning from his 25-year academic post at a State University, he made his first public appearance in national media and television (prime-time news bulletins) in 2012. Since then, he has continued his scientific work in the private sector. He has 110 international and national scientific publications and has authored a book chapter.
